Rahul Prabhashankar Kamath is another fourth-generation entrepreneur, hailing from Jaya Boilers Pvt. Ltd., a family renowned for its expertise in the steam boiler manufacturing industry. He founded Blenders Inc., a thriving food venture specializing in milkshakes and waffles, which is now in its seventh year of operation.

Both Neil and Rahul have held various positions in Yi-Coimbatore and have made solid contributions to the association.

Speaking to Covai Chronicle, Neil Kikani shared his vision for upskilling the youth in rural areas of Coimbatore.

“We will focus more on upskilling youth in the rural areas of Coimbatore. If Yi can bridge the gap in skill development, it can create significant livelihood opportunities. Hence, we aim to upskill people in certain villages,” he said.

“Additionally, we want to emphasize innovation, Project Masoom—which focuses on child safety and their betterment—and further strengthen our Drug-Free Covai initiatives,” he added. Yi Coimbatore will obviously focus on MYThRI, an acronym representing its commitment to supporting its Members, Yuva (college students), Thalir (school students), and Rural Initiatives.

Rahul Prabhashankar Kamath, the Co-Chair of Yi Coimbatore, expressed his dedication to working with Neil and realize the Chair’s vision for Covai.

“Coimbatore is an entrepreneurial city and is growing exponentially. We aim to instill the spirit of entrepreneurship in school and college students. While many young people aspire to move to tech hubs and settle elsewhere, we want to nurture their entrepreneurial mindset, encourage them to contribute to their hometown’s growth, and grow alongside it,” Rahul said.
