TN Minister for Minorities and Non-resident Tamils Welfare who visited the Train Accident site near Gummidipondi under orders of Chief Minister MK Stalin. Minister Naser reportedly said that 19 persons were injured and none were found to dead so far.

 

12-13 coaches have derailed due to the collision between a passenger train and goods train near Gummidipoondi but so far no one has been reported to be dead but there are few patients who have got injured. They have been taken to the nearest hospitals.

 

 The Mysuru-Darbhanga Express collided with a stationary goods train on Friday evening around 8.50 p.m. at Kavarapettai, near Gummidipoondi in the Chennai Division of the Indian Railways. The investigation is on.

 

Deputy CM Udhayanidhi visited the injured passengers taking treatment at Stanley Hospital.
