Excitement regarding the upcoming Coimbatore International Cricket Stadium is once again in the air as a new report confirms that the tender for Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the construction of the stadium will be finalized in a month's time.

This development comes after Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin chaired a meeting on December 4th regarding the establishment of International Cricket Stadium in Coimbatore with officials in Chennai.

Sources mentioned that M.A.Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai and M.Chinnasamy Stadium in Bengaluru were suggested as case-studies for the project. It appears that the government wants this upcoming stadium to be on par with the prestigious Lord's Cricket Ground, in terms of features and aesthetics.

A report states that this upcoming superstructure would potentially have World Class Seating Facilities and Refreshment Plaza for the audience, Premium Rooms for Players; Sophisticated Gym, Indoor Fielding Zone, Pitch Curation Facility; Separate high-end Restaurant for Players; Spas, Clubhouse, Sports Bar; VIP Rooms, Corporate Rooms; Media Hub and Broadcast Hall, Briefing Hall etc.
