Coimbatore - Tirupati - Coimbatore Express Trains, which run with conventional coaches now, will run with new modern LHB coaches with effect from Thursday (20.3.25).

German-origin Linke Hoffmann Busch coaches, known commonly as the LHB coaches come equipped with many facilities that make sure passengers travel comfortably.

LHB coaches were developed by Linke-Hofmann-Busch of Germany. Now, these coaches are being manufactured in India. These coaches can be operated at higher speeds and have a higher passenger capacity than the conventional coaches. They are also lighter as compared to conventional coaches.

Each coach also has an advanced pneumatic disc brake system for efficient braking at higher speeds and modular interiors. Improved suspension system of LHB coaches provides more riding comfort to passengers. These coaches have fire retardant materials for furnishing and their air-conditioning system is of higher capacity.
