Following the safe removal of LPG truck involved in an accident at Old Avinashi Flyover, vehicular movement at the region has been restored.

Coimbatore Collector Kranthi Kumar shared to the press and media that the vehicle has been taken to a depot in Peelamedu. He noted that lifting such heavy containers would have been difficult if it was not for the powerful cranes that were involved in flyover construction nearby.

He thanked all the departments and volunteers involved in the rescue op. He further said that Highways Department's audit is going on regarding the expansion of a stretch of the flyover without acquiring lands. They have given a proposal, and it will be done immediately. But to entirely expand the flyover, additional lands will be required. Steps regarding that new project have been initiated. It will be followed and eventually the flyover would be expanded.
