The Centre of Excellence in Biotechnology (CoEB) at Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with an agripreneur on Friday (27.12.24) to facilitate the cabin space at the centre to develop the latter’s research activities. 

The CoEB that is established at TNAU, Coimbatore has an area of 1.06 lakh sq.ft. It includes knowledge and cabin space which can be occupied by start-ups, student entrepreneurs and established companies for research and development activities.

Advanced facilities including the molecularbiology laboratories, cold room, server room, tissue culture facility, conference hall, exhibition hall, internet, wi-fi, instrumentation facilities, etc., have been provided at the CoEB premises to initiate high end research on proteomics and metabolomics.

On Friday, Dr. N. Senthil, Director, Centre of Excellence in Biotechnology, TNAU, Coimbatore signed the MoA on behalf of Biotech Council of CoEB with Eco Green Unit, Coimbatore for facilitating the cabin space in the presence of Vice-Chancellor of TNAU Dr.V.Geethalakshmi. 

Dr. E. Kokiladevi, Professor & Head, Dept. of Plant Biotechnology, Dr. S. Mohan Kumar, Professor & Project Director (CoEB) and the other delegates from both the parties attended the signing ceremony and graced the occasion.
