One of the biggest international Textile Machinery, Accessories and Spares Exhibitions in the country, Texfair, organized by Southern India Mills’ Association (SIMA), Coimbatore is set to be held from June 21st (Friday) to June 24th, here in CODISSIA Trade Fair Complex, said S.K.Sundararaman, Chairman, SIMA on Tuesday.

A press conference was held at SIMA’s head office in the city, and during the interaction with the press and media, Sundararaman said that 240 exhibitors will be displaying their innovations/ products / services in 260 stalls at the exhibition.

Within 48 hours of announcing Texfair 2024, over 90% stalls were booked, this shows that all the exhibitors are happy displaying their products and services at the Texfair, he said.

Leading textile machinery manufacturers from more than 75 countries like Switzerland, Belgium, Italy, Japan, China will be taking part in this exhibition and display their products. Similarly such players from Indian states including Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Dadar Nagar Haveli, West Bengal will also attend. Out of the 240 exhibitors, at least 60% will be from Tamil Nadu.

The Fair would include textile machinery, spares, accessories, testing equipments, electrical and electronic components, humidification plants, air compressors, solar panels, various industry related services, etc.

When asked where does Tamil Nadu stand in Textile Machinery manufacturing, Sundararaman said that as far as the spinning part of textiles-machinery sector is concerned, Tamil Nadu is a very strong player, and he credited LMW for being a pioneer and enabling the state to reach such progress in this sector. He added that Tamil Nadu has numerous robust textile machinery-spare parts and allied industries, and that makes it a leader in this field.

He shared that business worth Rs.1,500 crore could be generated during this 4-day fair. Ganapathy P Rajkumar, Member of Parliament - Coimbatore will take part as Chief Guest of Texfair and inaugurate it. Rakesh Mehra, Chairman, Confederation of Indian Textile Industry, will be the Guest of Honour of the inaugural.
