Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College (SREC) welcomed its 29th batch students who are beginning their higher education this year at the college and organized a two-day orientation program for them (on Nov.3rd and 4th).

 

N.R.Alamelu, Principal, SREC welcomed the freshers. D.Lakshminarayanaswamy, Managing Trustee and R.Sundad, Joint Managing Trustee, SNR Sons Charitable Trust presided.

 

On the first day, Ravichandran Duraimurugan, Head, IT Center, Cameron Schlumberger took part as the chief guest and spoke to the students about higher education.

 

He wanted them to not just see their pursuit of a degree as a means to a nice job but a portal to step in and enhance their knowledge and their human spirit.

 

On the second day, Sumithra Ranganathan, Vice President – Engineering, ER&D GBL, Capgemini Engineering took part as the Chief Guest and spoke about Engineering and Technology.

 

Alumni of 1998 batch were the guest of honor and shared the expectations of the industry with the students.
