A Mega Clean India 2.0 campaign against single use plastics along with Mega Pledge Taking was organised by the NSS Units of Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore on 29th October,2022

 

 

It was held in association with NSS Regional Directorate, Chennai & Central Bureau of Communication & Press Information Bureau, Chennai & NSS Cell of Bharathiar University, Coimbatore.

 

 

 

 More than 2000 students of the college took pledge Clean India 2.0 campaign against single use plastics. The mega pledge taking activity has been registered in Kalam’s World Records.

 

 The certificate of the Kalam’s World Records was received by CV Ramkumar, CEO, SNR Sons Charitable Trust and B.L.Shivakumar, Principal, Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts and Science which was presented by C.Samuel Chelliah, Regional Director, NSS Regional Directorate, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Chennai.

 

 

It was handed over in the presence of M.Senthilkumar, State NSS Officer, Tamil Nadu State NSS Cell , Directorate of Collegiate Education, Chennai and R.Annadurai, NSS Programme Co-ordinator i/c, National Service Scheme, Bharathiar University, Coimbatore. 

 

Following the pledge taking event the NSS Volunteers of the college involved in mass cleaning activities in the Nava India Area, Coimbatore.

 

 The event was coordinated by S.Prahadeeshwaran, R.Nagaraj, A.Subhasheni, J.Deepakkumar, NSS Programme Officers of the college.
