Industry needs the right up-skilled student community - NASSCOM's National Lead
The Dynamics of the world & Job Market are changing today and the Industry needs the right up-skilled student community with a combination of technical &professional skills and special certifications, said Udaya Sankar, National Lead - Academia & Government Relations, NASSCOM at Sri Krishna Institutions on Monday.
He said this during NASSCOM Future Skills' MoU Signing Ceremony with Sri Krishna Institutions, here. The MoU was signed by S.Malarvizhi, Chairperson & Managing Trustee, Sri Krishna Institutions and Udaya Sankar in the presence of S.Sophia, Principal (I/C), Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technology.
Giving an overview of this MoU, Sri Krishna Institutions said via a press release that this MoU is set to empower and equip the students of Sri Krishna Institutions to acquire on-demand skills that are highly valued by employers and can open doorways to career opportunities with NASSCOM certification programa that are aligned with National Occupational Standards and National Skills Qualification Framework.
While welcoming the gathering, Principal (I/c) Sophia said that more than 15,000 students of Sri Krishna Institutions have done certification from NASSCOM.
Speaking at the event, Udaya Sankar said that Future skills Prime is the most determined project of Government of India and anyone can use this platform to upskill themselves.
He said that the competition of final year engineering students in Tamil Nadu won't be just among themselves or with Arts stream students alone but with the graduating students from the whole country. Hence students should under that they should possess the right skill-sets and special certifications to have an edge over other.
Congratulating Sri Krishna Institutions, he said that this group of institutions has been associated with NASSCOM for a long time, and he added that it will be the first institution in the country that will do a joint certification course with NASSCOM.
At the occasion he also appealed the students to spread the message about the opportunity that's available with NASSCOM to upskill, with their friends and others belonging to the student community who didn't know about this platform.
S.Malarvizhi, in her address urged the students to make use of every opportunity provided by their instruction to upskill themselves and reach great heights.
She also assured that Sri Krishna Institutions will take efforts to spread the word about NASSCOM's Future Skills Prime to other institutions around it.
