"The history of India is the product of millions, even billions, of women and men just like you; people who added their own small, or big, contribution to the story of India. Your contribution to that story is for you to decide, and for fate to guide.  But regardless, you will, you must, contribute to that story," said James C. Burkee, President, Avila University, Kansas City, Missouri, USA at the 19th Graduation Day of Sri Krishna Arts and Science College (SKASC) on Wednesday.

He was the Chief Guest and he gave away the degree certificates to the graduands. S.Malarvizhi, Managing Trustee and K.Aditya, Trustee, Sri Krishna Institutions offered their wishes.

R.Jagajeevan, Principal of the college welcomed the gathering and presented the college report.

About 2,498 graduates including 2,161 UG and 337 PG graduates were given Degree certificates.  77 ranks holders were also honoured.

K.Sundararaman, CEO of Sri Krishna Institutions delivered the Presidential Address. He congratulated the graduates and asked them to stay connected with the college.

Addressing the graduates, James C. Burkee urged them to have a plan in life.

"People who fail to plan … plan to fail...Nothing comes without the effort, the sweat, and the patient, diligent, hard work that comes to turn that inspiration into reality.  So make a plan.  Keep your focus on it.  Adjust as needed.  And achieve something big," he said.  

R.Vijayasamundeshwari, Vice-Principal of the college proposed a vote of thanks.
