Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts and Science for Women celebrated its 34th Annual Sports Day with great enthusiasm at Nehru Stadium, Coimbatore.

The event was graced by A. Saravana Sundar, Commissioner of Police, Coimbatore City, who emphasized the importance of balancing academics and sports for overall well-being.

Presiding over the event, R. Sundar, Managing Trustee of SNR Sons Charitable Trust, applauded the students for their dedication and sporting spirit. The occasion witnessed vibrant performances in Aerobics, Silambam, Karate, and Yoga, showcasing agility, discipline, and teamwork.

K. Chitra, Principal, highlighted the institution’s commitment to fostering holistic development through sports and fitness activities. The event featured a wide array of competitions, including Throwball, Volleyball, Basketball, Chess, and Carrom, engaging students, teaching staff, and non-teaching staff alike, reinforcing the spirit of inclusivity and sportsmanship.

Outstanding performers were honored with Best Player, Star Performer, and Special Awards for their excellence in various sports categories. The Department of Computer Science which secured the highest points, was awarded the prestigious Overall Championship Trophy.

With a total of 27 sports events conducted for students, the celebration stood as a testament to the college’s dedication to nurturing both academic excellence and physical fitness among its students and faculty.
