Sri Ramakrishna Hospital hosts Organ Donation Drive at CRPF Training College

In a bid to spread awareness and encourage voluntary participation in organ donation, Sri Ramakrishna Hospital conducted an organ donation awareness program on Monday at the Central Training College – CRPF, Thudiyalur.
The event was part of the hospital’s ongoing campaign, ‘Gift Organs, Give Life’, a voluntary online organ donation drive launched in collaboration with the Transplant Authority of Tamil Nadu (TRANSTAN) and the National Organ and Tissue Transplant Organization (NOTTO).
The hospital aims to achieve over 1lakh organ donor registrations through the campaign by the end of this year. The initiative was officially launched last December in Chennai by Tamil Nadu’s Health and Family Welfare Minister Ma. Subramanian with R. Sundar, Managing Trustee of SNR Sons Charitable Trust.
The awareness session at the CRPF training facility was held under the guidance of Dr.S.Prahadeeshwaran, Manager - Public Relations, SNR Sons Charitable Trust. 50 NSS volunteers from Sri Ramakrishna Educational Institutions joined this event, and it saw enthusiastic participation from the CRPF personnel. Many attendees came forward to register as organ donors, demonstrating strong support for the cause.
Notable senior officials from the Central Training College who volunteered to donate included Langchinkhup, Inspector General of Police-cum-Principal; Antony Jenson, Commandant-cum-Chief Training Officer; Anas, Deputy Commandant; Deepthi Burle, Senior Medical Officer/Deputy Commandant; and Rathiga Mohan, Deputy Commandant/PPS.
