R.Arunkumar, a Botany Research Scholar at Kongunadu Arts and Science College (KASC) was awarded the Tamil Nadu State Fellowship for Tribal Research by the Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare Department recently.

Arunkumar received the fellowship from M. Mathiventhan, Minister of Adi Dravidar Welfare, Govt of Tamil Nadu.

He received the fellowship in recognition of his research contribution towards documenting and preserving the rich cultural heritage, traditional knowledge, and sustainable practices of tribal communities, a press release from the college said.

C.A. Vasuki, Secretary of Kongunadu Arts and Science College congratulated Arunkumar on receiving this distinguished honor. Arunkumar's research guide Prof.Dr.Abdul Kaffor also joined C.A.Vasuki in congratulating him.
