Coimbatore Corporation celebrated Earth 2023, by installing an art work at Periyakulam in Ukkadam in the form of a huge wave.A source said that a vast amount of single-use plastic bottles at forest sites and foothills of various mountain regions were gathered and used in this art work. 
This was installed with assistance from 'Phase 4 Architects', to raise awareness about environmental issues caused by plastic on this year's Earth Day 2023.
