Cherishing the 76th Independence Day of India, Sree Annapoorna Sree Gowrishankar Hotels Pvt. Ltd. celebrated the occasion by hoisting the tri-colored Indian Flag at IKON by Annapoorna branch at R.S.Puram at 8 a.m. on Monday.

The flag was hoisted by K.Ramaswamy Naidu, Chairman along with D.Srinivasan, Managing Director, Sree Annapoorna Sree Gowrishankar Hotels Pvt Ltd.

The staff and customers of the hotel and the residents of Arockiya Swamy Road where the hotel is located took part in the flag hoisting ceremony.


Damodaraswamy Naidu 

Speaking to Mr.Vivek Srinivasan, the Executive Director of Sree Annapoorna, it was learned that K. Damodaraswamy Naidu, the Founder, and Ramaswamy Naidu, the current Chairman of Sree Annapoorna were involved in the freedom struggle while they were in the Indian National Congress.

Mr.Vivek added that during the flag hoist today, the Sree Annapoorna Group distributed flags to the Guest staying at Ikon by Annapoorna and also presented the flags to the customers visiting the branch. He said this is the first time the flag was hoisted at this branch.
