Royal Care Super Speciality Hospital organises Liver Support Group meet for patients and at-risk individuals

Royal Care Super Speciality Hospital, Coimbatore recently organized a Liver Support Group event aimed at raising awareness about liver disease and encouraging early diagnosis.
The initiative focused on dispelling misconceptions surrounding liver health while offering expert consultations and free screenings. The program catered to patients diagnosed with liver conditions as well as individuals at high risk, including those with chronic alcoholism, obesity, and diabetes.
Dr. K. Madeswaran, Chairman and Managing Director, Royal Care Super Speciality Hospital highlighted the significance of early detection and multidisciplinary care in managing liver diseases. He urged the public to take advantage of the opportunity to consult specialists, undergo essential tests, and adopt preventive measures to improve liver health.
The event featured open discussions where patients shared their experiences, providing motivation and insight into managing liver-related conditions. Free liver screenings, including blood tests, ultrasound, and Fibroscan, were conducted as part of the initiative.
A team of specialists, comprising gastroenterologists, hepatologists, liver transplant experts, and critical care physicians, provided consultations and guidance on treatment and disease management.
As part of the afternoon session, interactive wellness workshops were held to promote a holistic approach to liver health. Dr. R. Priyavadhana, Consultant Physiatrist, led a session on prehabilitation and fitness, offering personalized exercise plans for liver patients.
Ms. Subhisha, Consultant Clinical Psychologist, addressed the importance of mental health and deaddiction support, focusing on alcohol recovery and behavioral changes. A Liver Diet Exhibition was conducted by Nutrition Expert Mrs. Sahaya Arul, who also provided personalized dietary advice. Additionally, yoga and mindfulness sessions led by Mrs. Kavibala emphasized mental well-being as a key aspect of liver health management.
The initiative reaffirmed Royal Care Super Speciality Hospital’s commitment to liver disease awareness, early detection, and comprehensive patient care. The hospital encouraged the community to prioritize liver health and seek timely medical intervention to prevent complications and ensure better long-term outcomes.
