Hyderabad-based electric 2-wheeler maker and energy storage products manufacturer PURE launched 2 of its latest power storage systems called PuREPower Home and PuREPower Commercial for consumers in Coimbatore on Tuesday.

You may ask whether PuREPower is a sort of UPS. Well, it is a power storage product and supplies power when usual source gets interrupted; in that way it works like a UPS but think of it as an extremely powerful system that can store and provide power to multiple, heavy power-consuming devices like ACs, water heater, heavy-duty kitchen appliances besides the entertainment systems in a house, flat or a villa.

PuREPower Commercial can facilitate continuous power supply to small and medium offices, retail complexes, commercial spaces, hotels and restaurants, gated communities, housing societies, fuel stations, telecom towers and even provide backup source to essential equipment in healthcare facilities.

These two products were launched in Coimbatore and they also made their TamilNadu and Kerala debut on Tuesday. Nishanth Dongari, Founder & Managing Director, PURE launched the products along with Dr. Raguram Arjunan, President of the Sustainable Energy Professionals Association here.

There are multiple variants in PuREPower Home and PuREPower Commercial. The models for households start from Rs.89,999 and go upto Rs.3,74,999. Likewise, PuREPower Commercial start with 25 KVA and goes upto a robust 100 KVA. The price range is from Rs. 5 lakh to Rs.15 lakh. These provide backup hours from 1-4 hours and 8-12 hours but that varies as per the model and usage by the consumers.

These systems at their core harnesses advanced high energy density batteries, delivering exceptional power and longevity. This is coupled with cutting-edge, 5th generation power electronics, enabling seamless inverter and solar hybrid functionality.

Furthermore, its integration of patented Nano Phase Change Material (PCM) ensures superior thermal management, guaranteeing optimal performance and extending the system's lifespan. To ensure seamless operation and 100% uptime, PuREPower Commercial incorporates predictive and Cloud AI, enabling proactive maintenance insights and eliminating disruptions. This intelligent system anticipates potential issues, ensuring a truly maintenance-free experience.

Nishanth Dongari, Founder & Managing Director, PURE while speaking to the press and media said that this is a first-of-its-kind product, and in terms of cost, this is cheaper than regular UPS. The products are manufactured at their own facility in Hyderabad. Regarding their battery cell, he said that they are planning to build their own lithium-ion cell in the next 3-5 years.

When asked whether they plan to sell their products directly to customers, he said "We want to become a product-company and brand that always build quality distribution and dealer network, with adequate after-sales network. We have been doing that for 7 years in other segments and we will do that in this segment too."

The deliveries for Home and Commercial products will begin from May and June respectively.
