"For those who aspire to be entrepreneurs, only the sky is the limit today as we have a favorable time where the ecosystem is vibrant, infrastructure is good and the culture for startups is excellent," said E.K. Ponnuswamy, MD, Suriya Machines on Tuesday at the PSG Tech Alumni Association's Induction Program for Diploma, UG & PG Students.

The Association inducted the outgoing students from various departments of PSG College of Technology and PSG Polytechnic College doing their UG, PG and Diploma courses.

It is customary for PSG Tech and PSG Polytechnic Colleges to induct their soon-to-graduate students into the association.

R.Mayilsamy, President of PSG Tech Alumni Association assured the students that no matter which part of India or the world they step in for their jobs or higher education, there will be PSG Alumni from whom they can expect guidance.

Prof.Prakasan, Patron, PSG Tech Alumni Association wanted the students to stay connected with the association and create a network which can benefit them in so many ways.

He recommended the students to get linked to the PSG Tech Alumni Database, which is a digital record of all the students who have studied there in the given period. It is one of the largest alumni databases with 36,000+ student profiles.

He wished the students to be meritorious in their endeavours, achieve well and give back to the society.

E.K. Ponnuswamy, MD, Suriya Machines shared his entrepreneurial journey with the students, the hardships he faced and how he made learning a daily process to improve his entrepreneurial knowledge.

He started his own company in 1987 with limited knowledge at a time that was challenging for aspiring entrepreneurs, and took it as a challenge to startup his business, scale up the company to better levels, stand up as a strong organisation and fill it up with people willing to take it forward to next level.

He said the times today are different as they have plenty of opportunity to improve their entrepreneurial ideas right at college and instantly start up their business as the government of India has made the climate favorable for startups. He wanted them to become the pillars of New India.

Prof.B.Giriraj, Principal, PSG Polytechnic College and Prof.M.Arasu, General Secretary, PSG Tech Alumni Association took part in the program.

Prof.Arasu encouraged the students to visit their alma mater whenever possible and stay connected.
