Sriperumbudur could be an engineering R&D hub, owing to its proximity to the automotive cluster and the upcoming aerospace park established by the Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation (TIDCO). The park will house an Advanced Computing and Design Engineering Centre (ACDEC) for manufacturing/design industries in the aerospace and defence fields.

It must be mentioned that Coimbatore is known for its top-class educational institutions, and several high-ranking institutions here have introduced UG/PG programs on A.I., Machine Learning, Data Science and other tech-based courses; thus producing students with acumen in the said fields which makes the industry come here in search of these talents.
