With the intent to create Wealth out of Waste, 1500 kilos of metal wastes sourced from wastes generated in the city and from old spare parts of corporation vehicles are being used to create three giant bird-figures (including a shoebill and a pelican) to be installed in Periyakulam area as a part of beautification of the lake. 

The bird-figures have almost come to shape and they are expected to be installed near the lake sooner.
