Coimbatore District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati IAS in his New Year Wishes to the district appealed all motorists and stakeholders to take a pledge that they will follow road safety norms so that road accidents could be reduced in Coimbatore city. 

 

A data from Coimbatore City Police mentions that since 2024 January 1 to September 30, the city lost 220 persons to road accidents. 

 

While organizations like UYIR are working with the City Police and District Administration to reduce accidents in Coimbatore, it is in the hands of the motorists to make Coimbatore's roads safer for everyone. 

 

The Collector, through a video, wished everyone in Coimbatore a Happy New Year, and urged all to come together to make Coimbatore a model city for Road Safety.
