Kumaraguru College of Liberal Arts and Science (KCLAS) organized 'Swagatham', its commencement ceremony to welcome its 7th Batch of Students to the institution. 

 

Shankar Vanavarayar, President, Kumaraguru Institutions presided over this event. The students who got admitted to the institution this year attended the ceremony with their parents.

 

Vijila Kennedy, Principal, KCLAS while welcoming the gathering spoke about the legacy of Kumaraguru Institutions and the growth of KCLAS. She assured that KCLAS will be a place of transformation; a cradle and a crucible that will mold students to become change makers. 

While speaking to the students, Shankar Vanavarayar shared that KCLAS as a Liberal Arts and Science College will be a venue where students will not just be taught the curriculum but they will be encouraged to think beyond. He urged them to craft their college journey, ignite their path, unlock their potential, improve their body and mind and follow the values in every action and thought.

He wanted the students to have an inspired lifestyle that will help them achieve their own aspirations and the aspirations the nation have on them.

 

He suggested them to involve in co-curricular and extra curricular activities. He said that unless they get exposed to them, their personality won't evolve. He urged them to follow habits that will give them a fit mind and body, as both are essential for their overall development. 

 

Prof. Ezhilarasi, Principal, KCT while offering felicitations, appealed to the students to beleive that they are blessed with extraordinary potential, and wanted them to explore it.

 

Sharing the meaning of Kumaraguru in Tamil which translates to Young Masters, she told that dedication to education, exploration of potential, adherence to value will help them all become Young Masters.
