Coimbatore District Collector Kranthi Kumar Padi inspected various parts of Vellankinar and Thudiyalur region today.

He also paid a visit to Kongunadu Arts and Science College campus today that will serve as the venue for the private job fair that will be held on August 5. The Collector inspected the preparatory works for the fair that is going on today at the college.

Addressing the Press and Media, District Collector said that 257 companies have registered to participate as recruiters in the job fair so far and these companies would mostly be from Coimbatore district. He added that recruiters collectively seek to fill 15,000 vacant positions, and the district administration has told them that the minimum pay offered in this fair should not be less than Rs. 10,000. 

He further inspected a wedding hall where reception of filled-in applications and registrations are going on for the Women's Entitlement Scheme (Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thogai Thittam). He then visited the Thudiyalur Urban Primary Health Center and took a look at the amenities that are provided there.

Coimbatore District's Superintendent of Police V.Badrinarayanan also took part in the inspections that were conducted by the Collector today.
