The two-day Global Conference and Expo on Agro Innovations began here on Tuesday showcasing student’s innovations to a wider audience and create a platform for industries to work with Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) for transforming the applied research into innovative products.

The conference, organized by TNAU, will provide an opportunity for industries, entrepreneurs, startups, and MSMEs to be part of the student-driven technological
revolution.

More than 60 innovations from Postgraduate students research have been displayed in the innovation expo, which will help agro-industries and entrepreneurs to personally understand the impact of these technologies and they can work in coordination with TNAU.

The innovations have been categorized into six themes like crop nutrition, crop care, crop improvement, post-harvest processing, herbal nutraceuticals and Emerging technologies, a varsity release said here.

This would help the stakeholders to pick the innovations based on their requirements to work further Integrating the stakeholders' needs in the research process and linking students with the industries shall enlighten the young researchers on market demands and challenges in commercializing the technology.

It is planned to connect more than 300 industries under actual and online mode in this conference and students from other Universities are also part of this conference which would certainly help the process of cross-learning, it said.

This conference provides a wonderful opportunity for student researchers to present their innovations and also get the opportunity to interact with stakeholders and market leaders.
