The School of Communication at Dr.G. R. Damodaran College of Science conducted Trident, an event to commemorate World Students Day and the birthday of the Missile Man of India, Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam recently.

 

Trident featured a session on Stress Management titled "Tides of Hope", jointly organized by the School of Communication and "The Hindu Tamil Thisai".  

 

The program had participation of students from grade 9 to 12 from various schools participating in the stress management event held in the campus. Around 300 students from GRD Public School, GRD Matric School, PSGR Krishnammal School, National Model School and RGM Hr. Sec. School joined for the stress management session. 

 

 Dharani M, Counselling Psychologist and M.S.Krishnan Kutty, well known motivational trainer, mentor, and life coach handled the session.

 

Following their sessions, Cultural activities took place and the event ended with a flash mob.

 

 

Ahead of World Students Day, an Inter-school online competition "Hues" was organized way earlier by the college's School of Communication. 33+ school students had participated in the online competition. The winners of this online competition were awarded with cash prizes and certificates. The following competitions where Art & Craft, Nail Art, Mobile Photography and Face painting for both Junior (9&10th) and Senior (11&12th) categories. Each category were awarded with 5 prize winners and 5 consolation winners. 

 

The School of Communication had also conducted a Public Relations campaign which included educational stalls and food stalls for the students.
