"College is not just a place to improve your knowledge, develop friendship, receive a degree but a place to design your life and learn about the proper use of the freedom given to you," said popular TV host and speaker Gobinath at the Orientation Ceremony of Sri Krishna College of Technology (SKCT) on Friday.

The ceremony was held for the first year students of BE & B.Tech, and it was presided by S.Malarvizhi, Chairperson, Sri Krishna Institutions.

In her address to the freshers, S.Malarvizhi said "this is your life, your pride and you have to be responsible for it."

She explained about the college's system to the parents and students, and assured them that all students will get very good placement, if the students co-operate and be responsible in their 4 years here.

Gobinath in his address to the students said "the biggest currency of this century is TIME"

He shared that money is a by-product for those who know how to spend time, wisely.

"Learn to save your time, optimise its usage by sticking to a time table, if not your time will be taken by various entertainments and distractions," he cautioned.

He warned them of the toxicity that can reach their doorsteps in the form of friends, technology, social media; "skip things that are meaningless."
