Following the instruction of Chief Minister MK Stalin to all MLAs to submit to the District Collector about 10 unresolved issues in their respective constituencies,  the 10 MLAs of various constituencies in Coimbatore District have each placed 10 requests before the District Collector including the urgent need to improve Coimbatore's roads earlier and took part in the review meeting regarding this today.

As the majority of MLAs belong to ADMK, SP Velumani addressed the press about this meeting with the District Collector and said that the funds for the placed requests are yet to be released, and the MLAs are awaiting for that.

They (the MLAs) have urged the Government through the Collector to not ignore any of the 10 requests they have placed before them.

"One of our main and unanimous requests was to fix the roads in Coimbatore. During former Chief Minister Edappadi K.Palaniswami's tenure we improved roads and constructed many flyovers. But now the tenders made during that regime to lay 500 roads in Coimbatore District has been cancelled by the current ruling DMK-led government.Due to the poor condition of the roads, there are so many accidents happening in the city. Hence these roads need to be fixed, and we have urged it," SP Velumani said.
