Impact of tomato fever in Coimbatore district is very thin but still it is being carefully monitored by Coimbatore District Health Officials.
Tomato fever also called tomato flu occurs in kids between the ages 1-10 and also in kids who have immunity deficiency.The spread of this flu was found among few kids in Pollachi recently. However as the impact of tomato fever is little in the district, the public have been asked not to worry much about it. The health officials are paying close attention to the matter.
Symptoms of Tomato fever include fever, headache, irritation in the throat, occurence of round, fluid-filled blisters that look like Tomato in hands, back and feet, lack of appetite etc. But experts say that this fever will prevail for 2-3 days like other fevers. Medicines as per doctors advice will help in recovery.
Kids with this fever won't be required to get admitted in a hospital for treatment but since this flu can spread easily, children with this fever should be isolated from other kids.
