Salem Division of the Southern Railway announced that the Coimbatore - Tirupati - Coimbatore Express Trains will run between Coimbatore - Tirupati 4 days a week. 

Regarding this, the Railway said "The trains enjoy good patronage among passengers and pilgrims; there were requests for adding more coaches to the trains."

"Responding to the requests from various quarters, the trains have been permanently augmented by 3 Second Class Chair Car Coaches."

The Revised Composition of the Trains: AC Chair Car - 1, Second Class Chair Car - 9, General Second Class - 8 & Luggage-cum-brake van - 2 Coaches.

Train No.22616 Coimbatore - Tirupati Express leaves Coimbatore Jn at 06.10 hrs on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays & Sundays and reaches Tirupati at 13.20 hrs the same day.

Train No.22615 Tirupati - Coimbatore Express leaves Tirupati at 15.00 hrs on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays & Saturdays and reaches Coimbatore Jn at 22.45 hrs the same day.
