35,995 students of class 12, belonging to government, government-aided and private schools in Coimbatore district are writing the 12th public exams from today in 127 centres. 

Each allotted classroom in the exam centres will have 20 students. 300 flying squads will ensure that these exams are conducted in a fair manner in Coimbatore.

In Tamilnadu and Pondicherry, 8.21 lakh students belonging to 7518 schools and private centers are appearing for this exams.Out of the 8.21 lakh students, 4,24,023 are girls and 3,78,545 are boys. They are writing the exams in 3316 centres. A total of 4470 flying squads have been appointed. The exams are set to conclude on March 25th.
