CII Coimbatore holds Post-Budget Analysis session

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Coimbatore Zone conducted a Post-Budget Analysis of the Union Budget 2025-26 on 5 February 2025 at Coimbatore. The session focused on discussions regarding the Economic Survey, Policy Discussion, and the impact of Direct and Indirect Taxes.
G.Radhakrishnan, Chairman, CII Coimbatore and Founder and Managing Director of Sieger Spintech Equipment Pvt Ltd in his opening remarks mentioned that the budget has been greatly received and welcomed by MSMEs. He noted that it is evident the government has been backing MSMEs, similar to what many strong economies have done.
He suggested that the government should also consider the export of base-level commodities. He highlighted the government's interest in the nuclear energy mission, stating that the country will benefit from its own technology in this sector.
Binu Paulose, Convenor, Finance & Economic Affairs Panel, CII Coimbatore Zone & CFO, Rasi Seeds Pvt Limited during his Keynote Address at the Inaugural mentioned that the budget is seen as growth-seeking and has a visionary approach to achieving sustainable growth.
He also noted that the key sectors mentioned in the budget, such as agriculture, MSMEs, export, and taxation, are also the most important sectors for Coimbatore. The post-harvest storage-related actions are welcomed to support the agricultural sector.
The session featured Pradeep Narayanan, Dhruv Kumar, and Debashish Nayak from Price Waterhouse & Co LLP, who presented their analysis of the Union Budget.
This was followed by a panel discussion on the Impact of Union Budget featuring Madhan Mohan C, CFO, JS Auto Cast Foundry (I) Pvt Ltd, Manjunath, Director, Oodu Implementers P Ltd, Deepak G, CFO, Walkaroo International and BG Vishnu, Head IT, KGISL. The discussion focused on the Implications for the GCC, retail and manufacturing sectors.
The session included 60 delegates from various industries attending the session.
