Centre orders NIA investigation in Covai Car-cylinder blast case

Coimbatore

Considering the chance for cross-state and international involvement in the Coimbatore Cylinder-blast incident, the Central Government has ordered an NIA investigation in the matter on Thursday.

 

 

The Counter-Terrorism and Counter Radicalization division of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) issued the order today. 

 

So far 6 persons suspected to have links with this incident have been arrested by Coimbatore Police, with the recent arrest being made on Thursday.

 

The NIA began its initial investigation in Covai on Wednesday.
