"Whether it is Arts&Science, Engineering or medicine, you decide. You, the children, should decide which course you wish to pursue for your future," expressed Malarvizhi, Chairperson & Managing Trustee, Sri Krishna Institutions (SKI) while delivering a special address at Dinamalar's education and career guidance exhibition 'Valikaati' on Tuesday.

Hundreds of students, who have freshly completed their Higher Secondary Exams attended the inaugural of the educational exhibition where the Chairperson of SKI urged all of them to be specific about the course and the domain they wish to study and excel.

"Gone are those days where you can pick any higher education course and think about doing anything, in a random fashion... Decide now, be specific about your choice, be passionate and select what gives you joy."

"Visit all the stalls, gain some ideas. Exhibitions like these are here to give you some awareness and idea." In case of you couldn't receive the course you wanted due to some reasons, don't worry, skill up in the areas you wished, side by side. At the end of the day, all of us need a job. Life cannot be idle," she shared.

"Your life is your responsibility", she underlined and said that in collegiate life, students will come from different geographies, and some may have little difficulty in getting accustomed to new places. There could be different influences, she opined and cautioned them that negative influences may influence more than the positive ones, hence she wanted them to think straight.

"When in college, think about the sacrifices of your parents when you plan on deciding about anything. Keep your parents in mind," she said.

Malarvizhi urged the students to be determined that they will exhibit consistent hardworking attitude when they step into collegiate life. College life, she expressed, is not just about being free. Fun with freedom and discipline is what college life is all about.

She wanted the students to become strong in English and also nurture the love to learn as many languages as possible. Speak german, speak anything that's going to give you advantages in today's world.

"Choose what you want to study and not out of compulsion" was her ultimate message. She thanked Dinamalar and others who have brought the students and the members of the academia together after an unexpected hiatus.
