BCCI's Duleep Trophy 2022 begins September 5, semifinals and finals to be held in Coimbatore !

The 2022-23 domestic season will kickstart with the Duleep Trophy and the much-awaited squads for the prestigious first-class tournament are out. The Duleep Trophy will be played in Chennai, Pondicherry, Coimbatore and Salem with the final to be held in Coimbatore from 21st to 25th September at Sri Ramakrishna Arts and Science College Cricket Ground
Former India captain Ajinkya Rahane will be leading the West Zone, which also has international stars Shreyas Iyer, Shardul Thakur, Jaydev Unadkat and Prithvi Shaw. Karan Sharma will lead the Central Zone with Shubham Sharma as his deputy.
Team India test batter Hanuma Vihari will marshal the South Zone with opening batter Mayank Agarwal as his deputy. Veteran Manoj Tiwary will helm the East Zone whereas Jharkhand’s Virat Singh will be his deputy. Mandeep Singh will lead the North Zone whereas Dhruv Shorey will be vice-captain. Navdeep Saini, fresh from his county stint, will lead the bowling attack with Siddharth Kaul. The NorthEast Zone will be led by Sikkim’s Ashish Thapa.
