Southern Railway has announced the cancellation of a weekly special train and modifications in the schedule of passenger services due to operational and maintenance requirements.

According to an official release, Train No. 03680, the Coimbatore Junction - Dhanbad Weekly Special, scheduled to depart from Coimbatore Junction at 07.50 hrs on February 25, 2025, has been cancelled due to operational reasons. Passengers who have booked tickets on this service are advised to check with railway authorities for alternative arrangements or refund procedures.

Railway has also notified changes in train services on February 23, 2025 (Sunday), owing to track maintenance engineering works at Walayar railway yard.

Train No. 56604, Shoranur - Coimbatore Passenger, scheduled to depart from Shoranur Junction at 08.20 hrs, will be short-terminated at Palakkad Junction. The train will operate only between Shoranur Junction and Palakkad Junction and will not run from Palakkad to Coimbatore Junction on that day.

The returning train, Coimbatore - Shoranur Passenger (56603), scheduled to depart from Coimbatore Junction at 16.25 hrs, will instead commence its journey from Palakkad Junction at 17.55 hrs. This train will not operate between Coimbatore Junction and Palakkad Junction and will run only from Palakkad to Shoranur Junction on February 23.
