2 news events and 1 exciting activity, namely Duathlon,Vizha Awards and Vizha Passport that will be featured in the upcoming Coimbatore Vizha 2024 were launched by the Vizha Organizing Committee along with the sponsors of the event on Saturday at Brookfields Mall.

Coimbatore Vizha, organized by more than 400 different organizations, is promoted as a grand celebration of Coimbatore and its people. The 17th edition will take place between November 23rd and December 1st and it will have more than 200 events and activities taking place at various parts of the city. We are just 75 days away from the celebration. 

Duathlon is 2 activities bundled into 1 – it is a combination of Running and Cycling and comes in 2 categories – Beginner and Pro. The Beginner category includes 20 km cycling and 2 km running while Pro category consists of 40 km cycling and 7.5 km running. It is all set to take place on Nov.30th from 1 p.m. onwards. Vizha Awards is a new initiative taken up with the intent to recognize, honor and celebrate the unsung heroes of Coimbatore who have done remarkable contribution/service to Coimbatore in different ways. The public can nominate such persons as nominees and they will be evaluated by a jury. Self-nomination is also possible. It can be done via the Vizha’s website.

Vizha Passport on the other hand, is a collectable. This interactive passport lets you capture memories with a unique stamp every time you attend an event during Coimbatore Vizha. This exclusive passport can be purchased for Rs.499 and inside, you’ll find exclusive food coupons worth Rs.1,600 that can be redeemed at food stalls across various events. Besides this it also includes a VIP Pass for double decker bus ride.

The audition for a cool event of Vizha – Coimbatore’s Got Talent is also underway at Pallavan Banquet Hall of Brookfields Mall, and people with the skills took the stage and showcased their talents.
