KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology (KPRIET) organized a power-packed event called Synergy 2023 on Saturday with aim to provide the students of the college a unique opportunity to connect with 40+ corporate leaders from various reputed industries, and learn about the industry and the corporate world.
This is yet another effort by KPRIET to bridge the gap that exists between industry and academia, and also let the students know the expectations of the industry upon them.
Chairman of KPR Group Dr.K.P.Ramasamy and Principal of KPRIET Prof.Akila Muthuramalingam took part in the event.
More than 4000 students of the college engaged with 40+ corporate leaders from reputed companies such as Reliance Industries, Zoho, Silicon Labs, ELGI, Bosch, NTT Data, Schneider Electric, Philips, etc. The interactive sessions were held at various halls of the college and all the 4000+ students wore black suit and took part in the discussions in corporate style.
Besides sharing the latest industry trends, innovations, and technologies, the experts spoke about various essential qualities a person should possess to move around the corporate world successfully and excel in his/her career.
The experts suggested the students to have the will to unlearn what they know. They also stressed that in today’s world, a professional needs to know beyond his/her core area. They also recommended the students to be self-aware and identify their strengths and weaknesses. They wanted them to have a clear idea of their goals, and work on that with passion.
They wanted the students to have the ability to communicate clearly, listen patiently and most of all be passionate about their core and career.
The students also received valuable advice and guidance from the industry experts on how to prepare for their careers, how to face interviews , how to build their professional profile and move ahead in the corporate world.
Speaking about the event, the Principal Prof. Akila Muthuramalingam said “This event Synergy is the brain child of our Chairman Dr.K.P.Ramasamy. It is his dream to make all the students of this college as industry-ready graduates, and we all work together to make that a reality”
“ Through this event, the students and industry experts have shared lot of ideas with each other. It has been a dual learning session for them, and the experts have expressed that the enthusiasm of the students has been phenomenal. We organize this event as a platform for students to not just know the technical skills which the industry would require from them but also know about the various qualities that would help them advance in their career in the future,” she added.
The arrangements for the event was made by KPRIET’s Career Advancement Cell.
