Sources shared today that Coimbatore-based Lakshmi Machine Works (LMW) has played a very good role in India Space Research Organization's (ISRO) successful SSLV-D2 mission.

Two days ago, (10.2.2023, Friday) Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) achieved yet another milestone as it successfully launched its new offering, Small Satellite Launch Vehicle (SSLV-D2), from Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota.

The SSLV successfully placed the earth observation satellite-07 (EOS-07) and two co-passenger satellites Janus-1 and AzaadiSat2 in a 450-km circular orbit around the Earth in its 15 minutes flight at around 9:18 AM.

LMW's Advanced Technology Centre(LMW -ATC) contributed to the SSLV D2 mission by producing 4 Interstage assemblies (S2V, S2S, S3C1 & S3C2) and a sub-assembly called the Piston Cylinder assembly for the separation of the Payload fairing.

This is indeed a proud moment for Coimbatore.
