In a remarkable green initiative, the 2 TN Air Squadron NCC - Coimbatore organized a mass seedball rolling event aimed at promoting afforestation.

The event took place on Friday at Dr. Mahalingam College of Engineering and Technology (MCET), Pollachi, where 260 NCC cadets successfully prepared 75,000 native seedballs in just two hours.

The event was conducted under the supervision of Colonel Ramanathan, Group Commander of the Coimbatore NCC Group, and was led by Wing Commander M. Pargunan, Commanding Officer of 2 TN Air Sqn NCC - Coimbatore.

This large-scale activity is also an ambitious attempt to enter the Limca Book of Records, showcasing the cadets' dedication to environmental sustainability.

The initiative was graced by several dignitaries, including Devendra Kumar Meena, IFS, Deputy Director, Anamalai Tiger Reserve; Shristi Singh, IPS, Assistant Superintendent of Police, Pollachi; Er. Rajan, Assistant Engineer, Water Resources Department, Irrigation Division-3, Negamam; Chitra, Headmistress, Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Pollachi and Thenmozhi, Headmistress, Pollachi Municipality Girls Higher Secondary School.

The successful execution of this event was supported by P. Govindasamy, Principal of MCET, Fg Offr. S.C. Lavanya, NCC Officer of the host college, along with fellow NCC officers from various institutions. Their efforts were further aided by WO Satheesh, Sgt Ravi, and other personnel from 2 TN Air Sqn NCC, Coimbatore.
