Sankara Eye Hospital and Ortho-One Orthopedic Speciality Centre headquartered in Coimbatore have bagged the ‘Best Single Specialty Hospital Award’ from Association of Health Providers India (AHPI), recently.

The awards presented to the recipients at AHPICON 2024, a one-day conference cum exhibition focusing on the environmental and financial sustainability of the healthcare sector, held in Madurai on June 15.

A press release stated that 15 hospitals of various sizes from across Tamil Nadu were recognized at AHPICON 2024 for their excellence in providing quality healthcare services.

Sankara Eye Hospital was established in 1984, in Coimbatore by Dr. R.V.Ramani, a Man hailed as a visionary who restored visions for lakhs of blind and visually-impacted persons. He was honored by the Indian government with the prestigious Padma Shri award in 2019 in recognition of his work in the field of medical services.

Ortho-One was founded in the city 2007 by Dr. David V. Rajan. He was one of the earliest surgeons to promote the specialty of arthroscopy in India.
