Tamil Nadu Agricultural University offers one day training on “Mass production and use of Predators and Parasitoids” on 19.03.2025 (Wednesday) at the Department of Agricultural Entomology, Coimbatore.

Mass production and use of predators and parasitoids refers to the large-scale rearing of beneficial insects, like predators and parasitoids, in controlled environments to be released into agricultural settings as a biological control method to suppress populations of pest insects, thus minimizing the need for chemical pesticides and promoting sustainable pest management practices.

Hands on training will be imparted on the following aspects of Parasitoids and Predators Identification of parasitoids and predators, Mass culturing of Corcyra cephalonica, Mass production of Tricho cards, larval parasitoids, green lace wing fly, lady bird beetle and Parasitoids and Predators in insect pest management.

The candidates willing to undergo the one-day training at the Department of Agricultural Entomology, before 9 a.m. on 19.03.2025 (Wednesday) and remit Rs.900 as fees for the training.
